Closing General Session: The Competitive Advantage of Business Sustainability Sponsored by Superior. Sustainability, ESG, LCA, net-zero, TCFD. These are all concepts that you have been hearing related to business sustainability. But what can a company do to improve the environment? How do you measure sustainability performance? What is the impact of these sustainability practices on performance? Business Sustainability can be difficult to understand or just talked about in hypotheticals. This session will introduce the concept of business sustainability and explain its various elements and how sustainability can be integrated into operations and supply chains. While some believe it is a good risk avoidance strategy, it is important to understand the competitive advantage. In this session we will gain a broad understanding of business sustainability, understand the current ESG environment. We will then examine examples of leveraging sustainability to create business value. Rather than getting gold dust for days, we will try to give you as many gold nuggets in our brief time together. The goal is to empower you to better understand how you can integrate sustainability to create a larger impact and have a more positive impact on the planet and society. The session will be interactive with lots of opportunities for questions. Dr. Awaysheh will also stay on after to answer any questions that attendees may have. |
