Arlington, VA- Yesterday, during its annual ChemEdge Conference and Trade Show, the Alliance for Chemical Distribution (ACD) announced IMCD U.S. LLC, headquartered in Westlake, Ohio, as the recipient of the 2025 Responsible Distribution Excellence Award. This award is presented to companies that demonstrate continuous improvement and a sustained and rigorous commitment to Responsible Distribution, ACD’s mandatory, third-party verified environmental, health, safety, and security program.
IMCD U.S. is a leading distributor of specialty chemicals and ingredients, helping its suppliers simplify and grow their business operations through extensive local networks, market intelligence, and technical expertise. Founded in 2015 as a subsidiary of IMCD Group, the company has established a coast-to-coast distribution network of over 30 warehouses, six technical centers, and four offices in more than 14 states.
“IMCD U.S. doesn’t treat Responsible Distribution as a checklist,” said Caroline Brooks, Senior Director of Responsible Distribution. “It’s embedded into their culture from the top down, with leadership consistently choosing to prioritize safety and compliance. Every employee understands how Responsible Distribution guides their work. As they put it, ‘ACD Responsible Distribution is inherent in everything we do.’ ACD congratulates IMCD for this well-deserved honor.”
Some of the notable actions taken by IMCD U.S. include:
“Responsible Distribution is deeply aligned with IMCD’s core values – particularly our commitment to partnership, integrity, and continuous improvement. Responsible Distribution is foundational to how we operate. Our participation in the ACD program reinforces our dedication to safety, regulatory compliance, and ethical business practices, while also supporting the broader chemical distribution industry.” said Scott Weyandt, Director HSEQR IMCD U.S. LLC.
ACD also recognized four other outstanding member companies for their commitment to Responsible Distribution: Acme-Hardesty, Greenchem, Mayzo, and Radchem Products.
The Responsible Distribution Excellence Award has been presented to more than a dozen companies since 2006 who exemplify the principles of Responsible Distribution. The award recipients are nominated by third-party verifiers and peers to earn this distinctive recognition. Company representatives join ACD leadership at the ChemEdge conference in August each year to receive the award in front of their colleagues and encourage other association members to learn from their best practices.
