At ChemEdge 2025, the future of chemical distribution isn’t just discussed—it’s demonstrated. The Innovation Demo Stage at the ChemEdge 2025 Conference and Trade Show returns this year to offer attendees an exclusive look at the latest tools and technologies that help businesses in the chemical distribution industry stay competitive, productive, and compliant.
From streamling operations, to enhancing compliance, these 15-minute live demos give attendees a front-row seat to what’s next in the industry.
ChemEdge is the premier event each year for chemical distribution operations and logistics professionals. This year’s Conference will be held in Louisville, Kentucky from August 13-15, 2025.
Opening the Demo Stage on Wednesday afternoon is LISAM, a specialist in Safety Data Sheet (SDS) compliance and Environment, Health, and Safety solutions.
A long-time ACD member, this will be the first time the business has presented at ChemEdge, says Louisa Marbella, Sales Operations Manager for Lisam North America – and it will provide the perfect opportunity to share important updates about new requirements for the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS).
“Regulatory changes always cause big ripples in the ocean; they affect everyone globally,” says Marbella. “The GHS is seeing a number of changes that will impact chemical manufacturers, distributors, and the whole supply chain. We’re currently in a transition phase, moving from Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s 2012 Hazard Communication Standard to a new version,” she says.
“ChemEdge will give us the chance to relay information to people who have products whose SDSs are authored in the current standard and answer any questions they may have. It gives them the opportunity to talk to us and to learn more about the transition, what the requirements are, and how they can prepare.”
LISAM’s demonstration will explore the latest GHS updates surrounding the OSHA HazCom Final Rule 2024 and the compliance requirements and deadlines over the coming years. It will also touch on recent amendments to the Hazardous Products Regulations and Hazardous Products Act in Canada to align its Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System with GHS 7 and parts of the 8th revised edition by December 2025.
“Changes to the GHS will have a direct impact on everyone’s businesses, so it’s well worth spending 15 minutes with us at the Demo Stage to get a taste, at a very high level, of what needs to be done in the months and years ahead,” adds Marbella. “If you’re in any way responsible for Safety Data Sheet authoring, management, and distribution, our demonstration will explain everything you need to know.”
Attendees will also be invited to join Marbella, Brett Brewer, Vice President of Sales, for Lisam North America, and Will Schaub, Senior Account Executive for Lisam North America, at LISAM’s exhibitor booth to continue discussions.
“We’re really excited to be participating in ChemEdge for the first time, and the Demo Stage in particular,” says Marbella. “It’s great that we’re going to be presenting so early in the program, so everyone has plenty of time to visit our booth and talk with the three of us. We look forward to getting dialogues going and are happy to answer questions, explain next steps, and talk about our solutions.”
LISAM is one of seven companies presenting at the Innovation Demo Stage this year. On Wednesday and Thursday, attendees will also be able to hear from Datacor, Inc.; E21 ERP; Open Source Integrators; Powell; CHEMTREC; and KemKey.
