From geopolitical tensions to trade negotiations and economic volatility, the chemical distribution industry is navigating a landscape defined by uncertainties and disruptions. But how can we achieve a more resilient path forward, together? We must “Adapt. Lead. Succeed.”
This is the theme of this year’s ACD Annual Meeting, North America’s largest event in chemical distribution, which will be held November 11-13, 2025. This year’s Annual Meeting will serve as an opportunity to learn from experts, share insights, and connect with members in a one-of-a-kind conference. Registration is open now!
“Faced with new challenges and market uncertainty, ACD and its downstream partners must be nimble in this ever-evolving environment,” said ACD’s Annual Meeting Chair Matt Fridley of Brenntag North America. “This year’s Annual Meeting gives those in the industry the chance to explore how the chemical distribution industry can better navigate these changing times, lead by example, and succeed in building a more resilient and innovative future.”
Each one of these pillars is an integral part of how we can prepare for the future of chemical distribution, and each session has been designed with this theme in mind.
"Adapt." The chemical distribution industry is constantly changing. It’s crucial we have the skills to quickly adapt to navigate the challenges of today and tomorrow. On Wednesday, November 12th, ACD President and CEO Eric R. Byer will a moderate, “Trade & Transportation: Tariffs & Rail Merger Impacts on the Chemical Industry,”. This session will explore shifting trade policies and rail consolidation and consider how these developments may shape the supply chain, offering insights into how our industry can prepare and adapt together.
“Lead.” No matter the industry, leadership skills are essential in the path towards success. On Wednesday, November 12th, attendees will have the opportunity to discuss these skills with an exceptional example of a leader: Tony Dungy, 2007 Super Bowl Champion and former head coach of the Indianapolis Colts. Dungy will share his experience as a leader in sports, how he overcame adversity, and how these skills might be applicable in your workplace.
“Succeed.” To be successful, we must have a strong workforce. But how do we ensure we are recruiting and retaining the right talent? On Thursday, November 13th, Jason Dorsey of the Center for Generational Kinetics will share results of a first-of-its-kind study designed to identify previously missing insights chemical distribution leaders need to drive key workforce gains and secure successful outcomes.
Outside of educational sessions, Annual Meeting participants will also have the opportunity to engage in a variety of tours and activities from a Naples, Florida, foodie tour experience, a community service activity and even a kayak outing, to name just a few. Between sessions, attendees can look forward to plenty of opportunities to network and connect with colleagues from across the industry.
