ACD Kicks-Off 2025 Annual Meeting on Marco Island, Florida

Arlington, VA – Today, Alliance for Chemical Distribution (ACD) welcomes nearly 650 members and industry leaders for its highly anticipated Annual Meeting held on Marco Island, Florida. The event brings together chemical distribution industry thought leaders, suppliers, manufacturers, and service providers to discuss emerging industry trends, share expertise, and connect with industry peers.

This year’s theme, “Adapt. Lead. Succeed.” examines how the industry is building a resilient path forward amid trade uncertainties and economic volatility. Attendees will participate in sessions specifically designed to deliver business value to members.

“Each year, Annual Meeting provides members and industry leaders a front row seat to the unique role our Alliance brings to the chemical distribution industry,” said Matthew Fridley, ACD Annual Meeting Chair and Vice President of Government Affairs at Brenntag North America, Inc. “As many businesses are navigating uncertain and challenging times, this year’s Annual Meeting represents an important moment to connect with industry peers and reflect on how we can shape the future of the industry today and in the years to come. If there is one takeaway from these four days, it’s that when we adapt and lead with courage and determination, we can all succeed, collectively.”

The 2025 Annual Meeting will explore what it takes to lead a successful team, examine the impacts of trade uncertainties and tariffs on the industry, and identify ways to enhance retention and recruitment in the industry, among other topics. Some of the session spotlights include:

  • Leading Successful Teams with Tony Dungy, 2007 Super Bowl Champion and former head coach of the Indianapolis Colts. Focusing on the theme of “lead,” Dungy will share his experience as a leader in sports, how he overcame adversity, and how these skills might be applicable in today’s workplace.
  • Trade & Transportation: Tariffs & Rail Merger Impacts on the Chemical Industry with ACD President and CEO Eric R. Byer moderating a panel of experts. This panel will examine the theme of “adapt,” exploring shifting trade policies and rail consolidation and providing insights for how the industry can prepare for potential changes.
  • Workforce Discoveries and Solutions: New Research to Solve the Workforce Challenge in Chemical Distribution with Jason Dorsey, Center for Generational Kinetics. Dorsey’s session will unpack the theme of “succeed,” sharing results of a first-of-its-kind study designed to identify previously missing insights chemical distribution leaders need to drive key workforce gains and secure successful outcomes.
