Florida Congresswoman has been a powerful advocate for chemical distribution industry
Arlington, VA –Today, the Alliance for Chemical Distribution (ACD) announced it has awarded Representative Laurel Lee (R-FL) with the 2026 ChemPolicy Champion Award. This annual honor recognizes advocates of the chemical distribution industry who champion policies in Congress that result in tangible impacts for the chemical industry and its supply chain partners.

“From her very first day in Congress, Representative Lee has been a strong proponent of policies critical to the success of the chemical distribution industry and the continued competitiveness of the American supply chain,” said ACD President and CEO Eric R. Byer. “Representative Lee was instrumental in the passage of the Protecting and Securing Chemical Facilities from Terrorist Attacks of 2023, and she has been tireless in her efforts to increase the transparency and methodology of chemical assessments within the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. This award is in appreciation of Representative Lee for her outstanding advocacy on behalf of our industry and the businesses, large and small, that it supports. We look forward to continuing to work with her in the years to come.”
“I'm honored to receive the ChemPolicy Champion Award from the Alliance for Chemical Distribution. The chemical distribution industry plays a vital role in supporting the products, industries, and supply chains Americans depend on every day, from manufacturing and agriculture to healthcare and energy production,” said Representative Lee. “In Congress, I have worked to advance policies that strengthen supply chain security, improve transparency and accountability in the regulatory process, and ensure businesses can continue operating safely and effectively. I appreciate ACD’s partnership and their commitment to responsible distribution and safety, and I look forward to continuing our work together to support American innovation, economic growth, and a strong domestic supply chain.”
