Chemical Distribution Industry Gathers for ACD’s
2026 ChemEdge Conference and Trade Show

Arlington, VA –Today, the Alliance for Chemical Distribution (ACD) kicks off its annual ChemEdge Trade Show and Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. This three-day conference is the premier event for chemical distribution industry professionals, providing opportunities to discover best practices, learn from industry experts, and connect with providers of the latest products and services.

“No matter their role in the chemical distribution industry, ChemEdge attendees will find something beneficial across these three days,” said Eric R. Byer, ACD President and CEO. “As our industry navigates global supply chain disruptions and a tumultuous regulatory field, gatherings like ChemEdge provide valuable time to learn from experts and peers and sharing key insights that propel the success of our industry.”

The theme of this year’s conference is once again “Collaborate, Educate, Elevate,” which is reflected in the 13 educational training and informational panels attendees can attend.

Byer will sit on a panel along with key members of the ACD Government Affairs team walking attendees through recent policy developments in Washington, the compliance and operational implications that these changes have on members, and the advocacy work the team is doing on behalf of the industry.

Other key sessions at the conference include:

  • Compliance 101: This session, hosted by ACD Director of Regulatory Affairs Rosalee Del campo Marrero, introduces the fundamentals of what compliance means in chemical distribution and the core responsibilities every company must manage. Attendees will learn the foundational elements of compliance and how to leverage ACD and federal resources to stay aligned with 2026 regulatory expectations.
  • DEA's Chemical Controls Overview: Led by the Drug Enforcement Agency’s (DEA) Bernadette Johnston and Ashley Holland, this session outlines the regulations that pertain to listed chemicals as part of the DEA’s mission to prevent, detect, and investigate the diversion of listed chemicals from legitimate sources while ensuring an adequate and uninterrupted supply for legitimate medical, commercial, and scientific needs.
  • Building Sustainability into Daily Operations: In this presentation, Nadya Avanesova of Houghton Chemical Corp., Pete Messina of Real Data Solutions, John Foshee of Porter Logistics, and Rachel Lerner of R.E. Carroll share how they turn sustainability into practical action by working closely with employees, vendors, and customers to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency across the supply chain.

Best-selling author and TEDx speaker Erin Hatzikostas will deliver a keynote address, and throughout the conference, companies will conduct live demonstrations of products and services designed to improve operations, compliance, safety, and efficiency.
