ACD Applauds House Resolution to Recognize the 36th Annual National Chemistry Week

Arlington, VA –Today, Alliance for Chemical Distribution (ACD), commends Representatives John Moolenaar (R-MI) and Sanford Bishop (D-GA) on the introduction of a resolution to express support for the designation of October 19-25, 2025, as National Chemistry Week (NCW).

The resolution acknowledges the important contributions of chemistry to both improving everyday life as well as its significance to economic growth and job creation across a wide range of industries.

ACD’s President and CEO Eric R. Byer issued the following statement on the resolution:

“We applaud Reps. Moolenaar and Bishop for their support of National Chemistry Week and recognizing the important role of the chemical distribution industry in fostering greater economic growth and enhancing the safety and convenience of our daily lives.

“ACD’s members operate across various sectors, including paint and coatings, cosmetics, food, cleaning products, and many more. This year’s National Chemistry Week puts the spotlight on how chemistry enhances what we do and how we do it.”

Established by the American Chemical Society, National Chemistry Week is an annual event with the purpose of reaching the broader public with educational messages about the role of chemistry. This year, NCW asks us to examine the importance chemistry plays in everyday life by examining “The Hidden Life of Spices.”
